The assignment was given to us in FCS. The actually assignment was to make a presentation on something that had to do with health, healthy eating, exercising, etc, and it had to be less than three minutes. Our group choose to do a presentation on tobacco. As we were thinking about how to present it, we decided to create an iMovie because none of us really wanted to actually explain it in person.
As I said before, the project had to be three minutes, and we were finding it difficult to make it at least two minutes. After making three recordings for our three topics (one for each member) we decided to insert photos to get the point across. We were wondering whether or not we should place captions on the pictures or use voice overs. We decided to use voice overs on top of the playing pictures. We explained the pictures and put enthusiasm into our recordings.
Personally, I liked how smoothly the video played with all the voice overs and transitions between pictures and video. I think we all enjoyed when we did the actual recordings. We thought it was fun to feel like we were reporters. Even when we messed up, we always had a good laugh about it. I really favored how well the voice overs sounded, not too loud, not to soft, just the right volume.
In conclusion, those were the things I thought were the highlights of our Heath literacy assignment on tobacco. I'm really glad Mrs. Kuhse gave us this assignment. It was a great amount of fun.
