We asked Mrs. Hartman, our 5th grade math and science teacher, a few questions to gain her opinion of Brain Pop. We fell in love with Brain Pop and we think you will too!
Q1: Do you think that Brain Pop is useful for class work like test prep?
A1: Yes, the students are more engaged watching these videos and the information presented in this format. Being able to watch the video over again, take quizzes, and play games related to the topic are all unique features.
Q2: Is Brain Pop easy to set up?
A2: Our school pays for the license to use this program yearly. There is no set-up for teachers. It is the same username and password for everyone in the building.
Q3: What is your most powerful student success story using Brain Pop?
A3: As many students are completing an assessment or just completing review activities they will say “I remember this fact in Brain Pop. It said that…..” so that goes to show that students are retaining the information presented. Showing information from another source helps students to make connections and solidify their understanding.
