The Google Drive app helps store files, videos, and pictures onto a cloud for students to view and use. On this app, any of these items can be viewed directly from the Google service online (items can be downloaded to be viewed offline as well). Using this app makes it easy to share documents with other people by sending items through Gmail accounts. Any of the items can be organized into folders based on their subjects. This app also allows students to create documents and spreadsheets and connects directly to all Google services. In the classroom, this app is very helpful in sharing assignments/documents with teachers and makes it easier for students to send homework assignments to students. This app also allows students to work on one document on several different devices at the same time in the classroom; this allows for assignments to be completed quickly.
Google Drive is a great app to use for collaborative notes. Assign each student one question to take write notes about during a presentation or lecture. Share one document and have entire class take notes on their question. By doing this students will be able to focus on specific details, but also have a large amount of detailed notes.
